Neighborhood Reacts to Tennis Proposal
April 4, 2024
• Just weeks before it is supposed to head to Town Meeting, plans for updating the Needham High School tennis courts finds resistance at a Planning Board Public Hearing.
April can be a tough month to bring matters through ordinary town channels. The election and school vacation calendars can shift meeting schedules and load existing agendas with a lot to consider. So, proponents of the renovation and expansion of the Needham High School tennis courts have their work cut out for them in the wake of a public hearing held by the Needham Planning Board last Tuesday, April 2nd. Residents living in the area of the courts turned out for the hearing, and expressed concerns about the scope of the renovation and potential impact on their quality of life. The hearing was continued and the town is now being asked to justify their decisions on the project so far. Municipal Producer Yuxiao Yuan revisits the meeting.
For further on the discussion at the hearing, check out the article by Cameron Morsberger, posted on Needham Local last week.
