A Strong Start for NHS Softball

• A string of wins and a brand new home for the varsity softball team may signal the beginning of a blazing hot season for the Needham Rockets.

Early on in a team’s season, momentum can be an incredible force–and it appears that the Needham High School softball team has it all. A talented roster of new and returning players, a dedicated coaching staff, and even a new field with a thoughtful design and amenities that they have been lacking for years. So, it is easy to see why the Rockets had a lot going for them, even before the first pitches were ever thrown. No one, however could have predicted what that would translate into as the team opened up McLeod Field for their home opener on April 9th. Here is a look at the highlights of their match up against Concord-Carlisle.
