How’s Your Balance?
The fitness room at the Center at the Heights now features a HUR SmartBalance to help test and train community members to reduce the risk of falling.
For seniors, falling down can be a dangerous and life-changing occurrance. One of the tenets of health and aging is to build upon your sense of balance, and to prevent these falls from happening in the first place. The Needham Center at the Heights has a new weapon in its arsenal when it comes to taking on these accidents. A new machine in their fitness room will train you to be more sure-footed and centered. Sports producer Kristen Connors went down to the Center to check it out.
