
Celebrating India in Needham
An overview of what community members can expect at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of India Independence Day.
On August 20th, the Indian Community of Needham (ICON) hosted an event celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence from British control. The event featured a slew of cultural highlights, including songs, dances and, of course, food. While we couldn’t make it to the event, we spoke to the organizers beforehand to find out what was planned for the weekend’s festivities.
