Potential Causes for Norovirus Infection

• A spike in norovirus cases might not be as concerning as it seems, but good hand washing practices are still necessary to decrease the spread of the illness.
If staying healthy in the New Year was one of your resolutions, the task may be a bit more challenging than it seems. There has been an increase in the occurrence of norovirus and other illnesses since the holidays. The Town of Needham’s Department of Public Health’s epidemiologist, Julie McCarthy, spoke with us about the potential reasons this is the case, and how you can best guard against it.
