Pieces Come Together on Public Art Project

• A beautification project turned into a community effort, bringing together participants from different segments of the town.
In what may be a perfect allegory for community spirit, disparate groups came together through the Needham Community Action Committee to create a public art project, adding beauty to the Haddock-McLeod Plaza. Blending corporate and municipal interests, students and seniors joined forces to generate two planters decorated with mosaics based on the theme “Go with the Flow.” The were installed earlier this month, with a presentation to the board at their June 11th meeting.
