Delighting in Diversity
May 2, 2024
• Each year, the Eliot Elementary School holds a Cultural Festival and Potluck Supper to celebrate the diversity of the families that make up the community.
The lessons it teaches are many: There is a whole world out there, filled with wonderful people and customs. While we all stand together, it is important to hold on to what makes each of us different. Sharing who you are is the best way to make new friends. For the kids of the Eliot school, however, it is also just a lot of fun. For, the parents and educators, it is a great way to take pride in their heritage and it future…their children.
