Catching Up with Tedi Eaton
February 8, 2024
• Since Tedi Eaton decided not to seek re-election for Town Clerk this year, she looks back on her years of service to the town.
A lot has changed in Needham over the past 42 years. In fact the whole structure of town government has been transformed. The Board of Selectmen became the Select Board, we went from a Town Administrator to a Town Manager. Departments have merged, new department heads have come and gone–and come again. The expectations of what services the town supplies has grown over the years, as well. Through all that time, having Tedi Eaton as the Town Clerk was a constant. She recently decided that she would not seek another term, and the town is readying for its next big change. We sat down with Tedi to reflect upon her experiences, and the future of the Town Clerk’s office.
