A Momentous Report
February 15, 2024
• At her 13th Report to the Community in Needham, Representative Denise Garlick announced this would be her last year in office and she also discussed expected state funding for the town.
This year was going to be a big year even before State Representative Denise Garlick announced she wouldn’t be running for reelection this fall. In her Report to the Community, she plotted out the rocky road the State’s coffers have taken over the past 12 months and laid out her expectations for Needham’s prospects over the upcoming year. Still, it was her statement, filled with gratitude and reassurances that she was still looking to be an active member of the Needham community that grabbed everyone’s attention. In this past week’s Needham Channel News, we took a look at both sides of her presentation.
