Giving the School Committee Something to Chew On…
November 9, 2023
• The Director of Nutrition Services for Needham Public Schools stopped by the School Committee meeting on November 7, 2023. She shared how they are working to make meals healthy and appealing for students.
The school committee was in for a treat when they came together for their latest meeting. Their update from Nutrition Services turned into a bit of a show-and-tell, and they were served up more than just the facts on the different initiatives that are afoot at the schools. What they found is that it is about way more than simply filling bellies in the cafeterias of the Needham Public Schools, but teaching everyone about healthy food choices and the impact food has on the environment. Municipal Producer Yuxiao Yuan explains.
