Día de Muertos, a celebration of life 🦋

Hispanic Origins & Latin Ancestry (𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗔) 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗠, in collaboration with the Needham Free Public Library, invite you to an interactive, family event, focused on the cultural highlights of Day of the Dead.

We have planned an afternoon of hands-on activities for children and adults. All are welcome!

Together, we will:

🦋 learn about the origin and traditions of Day of the Dead

🦋 decorate an altar to celebrate and honor the lives of deceased loved ones. Bring photos or mementos (incluiding photos of beloved pets!) to place on the community altar

🦋 explore the symbolic connection between the migration of the Monarch butterfly and Day of the Dead

🦋 cultural arts & crafts

It will be an afternoon of learning, belonging, and building community.
