Needham Post 14 District Six Standings Update

June 25, 2026
• Needham Legion Baseball sits at third place in the rankings despite a recent skid.

Needham Post 14 had put together a three-game win streak last week, moving them up to third in the District 6 standings. Their offense had been hot, averaging almost eight runs per game, with the pitching staff limiting opponents to under four runs per game.

The three game win streak started on Wednesday, June 17, a game recorded and broadcasted by The Needham Channel. In that five-inning run rule shortened game at Memorial Park, Post 14 won 16-6 over Medfield Post 110.

Needham followed that up with a 13-1 win at home over Norton Post 222 on Friday, June 19, then topped Quincy Post 294 9-1 on Wednesday, June 24. That game was moved to Catholic Memorial due to field conditions at Memorial Park after heavy rains soaked through on Monday and Tuesday.

Unfortunately, Post 14 ran into a few bumps in the road, falling 4-1 at home to Hyde Park Post 78 at home on Thursday, June 25. They would fall again, this time 8-4 at Norwood Post 70 on Sunday, June 28.

At 5-3, Needham is still in third place, but tied with five other teams: North Attleboro Post 49, Quincy, Weymouth Post 79, Norton and Hyde Park. Post 14 will next play on Wednesday, July 1 at Braintree Post 86, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
