Girls Basketball Falls in Quarterfinals

• Needham girls basketball finished their season 16-7 under first-year head coach Lindsay Miller.
In their first state quarterfinal game since 2021, Needham girls basketball fell to Springfield Central on the road, 57-36. The Rockets found themselves down 21-12 at halftime but put together a strong run in the third quarter to pull back within four points. Their run would end there, however, as the Golden Eagles hit two quick three-pointers and pulled away. In their final high school games, seniors Hannah Levine and Eva Andrews led Needham in scoring with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Levine will continue her basketball career at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, while Andrews is heading to Bowdoin.
