No Quick Fix for Stormwater Problems

• A study done on stormwater in Needham showed that mitigating flooding in town would be a difficult undertaking.
As the Stormwater ByLaw Working group has been drafting proposed changes to begin addressing the impact of run-off and drainage throughout town, officials have been studying the roots of the problem to find areas most vulnerable to flooding. At the most recent Select Board meeting, they checked in with an update. They found the problems with stormwater were decades in the making, and will likely take just as long to mitigate.
