• The poet laureate position in Needham has been bringing art into the every day lives of residents, businesses and town boards. We caught up with the person who has brought the role to life.
Needham is a community with a strong dedication to the arts, with theatrical performances, visual artistry exhibitions and concerts of varied size and style. Perhaps no one can express that better than Needham’s first Poet Laureate, Anne Nydam. Over the past few months, she has been busily popping up all over town, sharing her love for words and rhythm. Municipal Producer Yuxiao Yuan caught up with her to learn more about how she is helping to draw attention to the arts and the impact it has throughout the community.
