Remembering A Stand-Out Year

December 30, 2024
Our first full year of online publication comes to an end with our thanks, and a look back at some of the stories that you’ve loved.

As we prepare to say good-bye to the past year, and start preparing for what will come in 2025, the staff of the Needham Channel and Needham Local are taking the week off. We thank you for subscribing to our newsletter and checking out what our website has to offer.

It has been a remarkable year, filled with stories covering so many aspects of life in Needham. Between the Needham Channel News, and Needham Local, we have been witness to both complex issues and uplifting stories, and it has been a pleasure to explore them, and share them with you.

The last week of the year is filled with retrospection, and life slows down a little as a result. This week, our televised newscast began a two-week look at the year that was, with the first episode centered on human interest stories that captured our attention. You can watch the episode, light-heartedly hosted by two of our high school volunteers, in the window below. Be sure to tune in to the second part, which will debut this Thursday. In it, Ashley Julier and Cameron Morsberger will look at the issues and people who took center stage in 2024 while Mike Levin and Ashleigh Tobin review the year in sports.

Thanks again for making Needham Local a part of your lives, and we wish you a very happy New Year!
