
Why Hemp is Being Hampered

• Closing the loophole on unregulated products, the federal government has put local health departments on the front line of enforcement.
Last month saw the closure of Your CBD Store, after the Needham Public Health Division determined that its most popular products were not allowable under federal law. The business was the hardest hit, but not the only one to have products pulled from their shelves. The move raised questions as to why some uses of CBD were considered legal, while others weren’t. The Select Board heard from the Director of Health and Human Services at their June 25th meeting, to find out why the unfortunate move was a necessary one.
