NPH’s New Approach to Recovery
April 18, 2024
• The Needham Public Health Division is hoping to make new in-roads to recovery through peer counseling.
At their first meeting since the town election, the Needham Select Board heard from the Public Health Division about their latest efforts combating the misuse of substances and medications. They not only got a rundown of the different resources the town is making available to residents, but about the perceptions and misconceptions held by the community around substance use disorder and its treatment. The board had a chance to meet Angi MacDonnell, who shared her story and spoke about her new role as a Peer Recovery Coach.
