Town Helps Residents to Stay

• Property taxes can be a burden on some residents, and to help those who are elderly or have a disability, the Town of Needham created tax relief funds.
One of the big issues facing any community is how to keep it affordable to its residents when costs go up, and income doesn’t. There are several populations in Needham where there is a profound need, as limited resources and skyrocketing property values combine to create a perfect financial storm. There is a way you can help–actually a couple of ways, as Michael Niden, a member of the Needham Board of Assessors, shared with News Producer Ashley Julier.
