Needham’s “First Sign of Spring”
February 29, 2024
• Here’s what to expect at the 16th annual Needham’s Art in Bloom at the Needham Free Public Library on March 9th and 10th.
For some, it’s the snowdrops that first peak their heads from below ground. For others, it is the tall thin sprouts that will become daffodils in a few short weeks. However, for most of Needham, it is the Art in Bloom event that heralds the end of the winter, and the reawakening of the town to spring. In part, celebration of everything green, and in part a way to get those creative juices flowing, the event showcases cross-generational inspiration and work across media. Producer Ashley Julier takes an early look at this weekend’s event.
