Doubling Down on Support
November 16, 2023
• The Needham Public Schools now has one counseling director to oversee grades Pre-K through 6th and another for grades 7th through 12th to help meet the distinct needs of those age groups.
Meeting the mental and emotional health needs of Needham’s students can look quite different based on the age group you are looking at. In today’s challenging times, we need all the help we can get in supporting the academic and social learning necessary to produce well-rounded and successful adults. It is a mission that the Needham Schools has taken to heart, and this year they increased the level of their support by taking on not one, but two new Counseling Directors. Municipal Producer Yuxiao Yuan met with the new hires to find out more about their program.
