Stepping Up For Cancer Research

May 4, 2023
• Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, or someone affected by cancer you can help fund research by participating in the 2023 Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life has a long and storied history, raising funds for the American Cancer Society since 1985. Today, there are more than 2,500 Relay events a year, helping to battle cancer one step at a time. The Needham-based Charles River Relay is coming up on May 20-21, and there is still a chance for you to get involved. We spoke with organizer Margaret Klingmeyer to find out more about this year’s event.

This story ran as part of the Needham Channel News, a weekly newscast airing on The Needham Channel every Thursday at 7:30pm.
