Needham Sports Update, 9/22/22

Highlights for Girls Volleyball vs Newton North and Field Hockey vs Brookline.

When you think of fall sports, the mind typically goes to the football and soccer teams, but at the Needham Channel there are two groups of athletes that we have been truly chomping at the bit to cover. Of course, after the past two years, the girls volleyball team makes that list, and there was one game in particular we just had to cover–their big rematch against Newton North. The field hockey team has also been on our collective radar. With strong performances but without the pressure that comes with intense scrutiny, they delivered one of the best games of the fall so far. Producer Kristen Connors has highlight of both match-ups!
