On Saturday, 5/16/ from 9:00 – 1:00, the Needham Garden Club will host its annual Plant Sale outside of the Needham Congregational Church (1154 Great Plain Avenue, Needham). The sale will feature native plants which are hearty for our region and many plants from members’ gardens, including sun and shade perennials, grasses, herbs and ferns. Parking for the event is in the rear of the building across from the Post Office.

Proceeds from the sale help sponsor educational programs in horticulture and floral design at the Needham Library; Garden Therapy sessions at local assisted living and nursing homes; a college scholarship for a Needham Senior planning to study biology, horticulture, conservation or environmental science; as well as plantings and maintenance of community garden spaces around town. With the proceeds from last year’s sale, we were also able to support the Needham High School Environmental Club and the Needham Community Farm.
