Navigating the Path to Publication: An Author Discussion at NPL

Event Description: Join local Massachusetts authors Janis Robinson Daly and Julia Marie Davis (NHS ’80), along with Needham High School teacher Jenn Bouchard, for an engaging discussion on their journeys to publication. They will share experiences writing across genres and insights into navigating today’s competitive book marketing landscape. The panel will be moderated by a current NHS student.​

Author Bios:

Jenn Bouchard: Award-winning author of Considering Us (2025) and First Course (2021). Her short stories have appeared in six publications. A graduate of Bates College and Tufts University, Jenn has been a high school social studies teacher for twenty-five years and resides in the Boston suburbs with her family.​

Julia Marie Davis: Poet and author of Catbird (2024). Her writings have been featured in various literary magazines and anthologies, and she contributes a biweekly column on Medium. An alumna of Needham High School, Boston College, and Fairfield University, Julia’s background in public relations and crisis management enriches her storytelling with depth and authenticity.​

Janis Robinson Daly: Author of women’s historical fiction, including The Unlocked Path (2022) and The Path Beneath Her Feet (2024). Her genealogy research-inspired presentations have made her a sought-after speaker. A graduate of Needham High School and Wheaton College (then a women’s college), Janis leverages her sales and marketing experience to assist other authors through her consultancy service.​
