Join Needham Community Theatre as our dedicated cast and crew bring to life a special production of Fiddler on the Roof, celebrating its 60th anniversary. This cherished classic, a nine-time Tony Award winner since its 1964 debut, has touched audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth, and honesty. Based on Yiddish author Sholem Aleichem’s beloved series of short stories, “Tevye the Dairyman”, Fiddler on the Roof explores universal themes of family, tradition, and acceptance that transcend barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences with tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. This production resonates just as powerfully today as it did in 1964.
With iconic songs like “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” audiences are sure to enjoy this unforgettable experience.
Performances will be held at the Newman Elementary School Auditorium, 1155 Central Avenue, Needham, from November 22 to December 1, 2024. For tickets and more information, visit needhamtheatre.org.
