Water and Sewer Rates on the Rise

• While the conventional wisdom is that water conservancy is a good thing, the practice may end up costing more than expected. In June, the Select Board adopted an approach to deal with rising sewer and water costs.
Your next water bill from the town will probably be a bit higher, as new water and sewer rates were put in place starting July 1. At their last public session, the Select Board heard about the factors that are straining Needham’s water and sewer system and decided on a course of action that would keep things flowing over the next few years.
