Boys Lacrosse Dominates Weymouth in Home Opener

There wasn’t much competition at Memorial Field on Tuesday, April 1st, as Needham boys lacrosse defeated Weymouth 17-1.
The Rockets got on the board first with a goal from Charlie Cianciolo about two minutes into the game, before adding four more goals in the final four minutes of the quarter to take a 5-0 lead. Needham’s defense was strong, forcing multiple turnovers and shutting out Weymouth in the first half. They added five more goals in the second quarter to take a 10-0 advantage at halftime.
Weymouth would finally break through in the opening minutes of the third quarter, but that was their lone goal of the game. The Rockets kept going offensively, scoring six goals in the third quarter and another in the fourth.
Needham had eight different goal scorers: Cianciolo (3), Nick Sewall (3), Matt Ledbury (2), Michael Roach (2), Cal Sullivan (2), Tyler Berger (2), Reis Conway and Nick Arbelaez.
