Special Town Election Scheduled for MBTA Rezoning Compliance
November 27, 2024
• On January 14th, Needham voters will determine whether to support Town Meeting’s approval of the extensive compliance plan.
Town officials have, on multiple occasions, described the situation as “murky”. The upcoming referendum has not only placed Needham in an uncertain position regarding its eligibility for various state funding programs, but also left the town with a tight deadline to organize an election just about a month away. This challenge is further compounded by the approaching holiday season.
