• It may be the middle of summer, but high school athletes are already focused on the fall. The Needham Rocket’s Girls Soccer Team is revving up for a season of memories old and new.

Here’s the pitch: Following up a successful season in 2023, the Needham High School Varsity Girls Soccer team had a group of returning players who are tight-knit, motivated by success and fun, and looking forward to another great chance to show the Bay State Conference what they’ve got. Add a departing head coach, and you would think that would shake them up right? Not quite. On the team itself, there is a lot of returning leadership, and as for the top coaching position…well, let’s just say the new person isn’t exactly a stranger to the team. Sports Producer Kristen Connors gets the early scoop on one of Fall 24’s most anticipated group of athletes.
