Town Weighs Economics Against Environmentalism

• As Town Meeting approaches, town leaders continue to debate whether or not to support the Opt-In Energy Code put forward by the state.
In Part 1 of this look at the Opt-In Energy Code to be voted upon at the Special Town Meeting at the end of this month, Municipal Producer Yuxiao Yuan looked at the issue through a Public Hearing held at the October 10th Select Board Meeting. But even before that took place, the Finance Committee knew how it was going to vote. In the conclusion of this report, she looks back at the Fin Com’s September meeting, where the members outlined their position.
