Summer Reading Aims to “Find Your Voice”
June 22, 2023
• The 2023 Summer Reading Program at the Needham Free Public Library provides young readers with the opportunity to learn about different methods of communicating, teens can learn more about themselves, and adults can discover something new.
Marshall McLuhan has said that the “Medium is the Message”, but the fact of the matter is that, without a message, the medium has no effect. From the beginning of time people have reached out to communicate with one another and we keep coming up with new innovative ways to do so. The Needham Public Library is building an entire summer out of sharing that search with young readers and their parents. And, true to form, they are finding many, many different ways to get their point across. We spoke with a few of the staff to help get the word out.
