Hike Honors Needham’s Revolutionary Past
April 13, 2023
• You can join a historic walk to commemorate the militia members who went from Needham to Arlington to fight against the British in 1775.
It’s not often that you have a chance to walk a mile in the shoes of a Revolutionary War soldier. This weekend, the Needham History Center and Museum is retracing the route of the East Needham Militia Company as it made it’s way to battle. Informational and reflective, the journey is a 13-mile hike into the past. This is the second time this walk is being held, and the NHCM is hoping it will become a new annual Needham tradition. So, strap on those sneakers and hiking boots, and tag along in this preview!
